Separated from the center of Barreirinhas by the Preguiças River, Caburé is a delightful place, named for an owl of the same name who once lived there. The route to Caburé offers great contact with nature, passing through the areas of mangroves and other beautiful fauna and flora.

Boating down the Preguiças River to a place called Vassouras, you can visit Monkey Tent, stay near some animals and walk on the dunes of the small Lençois. On the bank of the river there is a village called Mandacaru, which has a lighthouse that provides a panoramic view of the Preguiças River's mouth flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

After breakfast, we take a trip by boat along the Preguiças River. Our destination is the APA (Environmental Protection Area) of Lençois, with a visit to Vassouras, a small town with a fishing community along the banks of the river. This is followed by another boat ride to visit a typical fishing community called Mandacaru. We climb the lighthouse for a great view of the landscape, the river's mouth and dunes. Then we go to Caburé, a spit of sand with the lazy river on one side and the sea with beaches on the other. We stop for lunch (lunch not included ), then return to Barreirinhas. All regular services are accompanied with a local guide.

It is necessary to check out before the tour because we will return after the time established by the hotel. (Generally the hotel offers a bathroom to change clothes.)

There are no stores in the park, so it is suggested to carry a backpack with sunscreen, towels, water and snacks like fruits, juices, cereals and cookies. The car has an ice box. Important: you are not allowed to carry alcoholic drinks to the park and you must take care of your own garbage.

Clothes: Shirts made of synthetic material; dry tee-shirts (fast dry and good ventilation); sunscreen of at least FPS 30; sunglasses and cameras.
